Salary Details
- Pay Level: Pay Level-7 (Group 'B' Non-Gazetted)
- Pay Range: Rs. 44,900 - Rs. 1,42,400
Qualification Criteria
- Feeder Grade: Must be an officer in the Upper Division Clerk (UDC) / Senior Secretariat Assistant (SSA) Grade of the Central Secretariat Clerical Service (CSCS) or Ministry of External Affairs (Cadre Cell).
- Approved Service: Rendered not less than 6 years of approved service in the grade as on the crucial date (01.07.2025).
- Training (MEA): Candidates from the Ministry of External Affairs must have undergone and successfully completed prescribed mandatory training programme(s).
Additional Details
Scheme of Examination
- Part-I: Computer Based Examination (300 Marks)
- Paper-I (Objective Type): General awareness, Constitutional provisions, Parliamentary procedures, Reading comprehension, Central Secretariat Manual of Office Procedure, Allocation/Transaction of Business Rules, Noting & Drafting. (150 Marks, 3 Hours duration)
- Paper-II (Objective Type): Service Rules (Leave, Conduct, CCA, Pension, NPS), Financial Rules (TA, LTC), Legislations (RTI Act 2005, POSH Act 2013), Records Management, Precis Writing. (150 Marks, 3 Hours duration)
- Negative Marking: 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer in Part-I.
- Part-II: Evaluation of Record of Service (100 Marks): Based on APAR gradings.
Form Submission Note
After online submission, a printed copy of the application form verified and endorsed by the Head of Department/Office must be forwarded to the Regional Director, Staff Selection Commission (Northern Region), New Delhi.
