Salary Details
- Junior Assistant (Civil & Family Courts): ₹21,700 - ₹69,100 (Pay Level-03)
- Stenographer Grade-1/Personal Assistant (Civil Court): ₹29,200 - ₹92,300 (Pay Level-05)
- Stenographer Grade-1/Personal Assistant (Family Court): ₹44,900 - ₹1,42,400 (Pay Level-07)
Age Limit
- Minimum Age: 21 years (as on 01 January 2026)
- Maximum Age: 35 years
- Age Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST/OBC candidates of Uttarakhand, 10 years for PwD candidates of Uttarakhand, and 5 years for dependents of Freedom Fighters of Uttarakhand.
Qualification Criteria
- Educational Qualification: Bachelor's Degree (Graduation) from a recognized university established by law in India or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Government.
- Language Knowledge: Good knowledge of Hindi and English languages.
- Junior Assistant Skills: Computer typing speed of minimum 25 words per minute in Hindi. Preference will be given to candidates with an English typing speed of 30 words per minute. Adequate knowledge of computer operation is mandatory.
- Stenographer / Personal Assistant Skills: Minimum shorthand speed of 80 words per minute in Hindi and computer typing speed of minimum 25 words per minute in Hindi. Preference will be given to candidates with English shorthand of 80 words per minute and English typing speed of 35 words per minute. Good knowledge of computer operation is mandatory.

Additional Details
Selection Scheme
- Written Competitive Exam: An objective-type multiple-choice examination of 140 marks lasting 2 hours and 30 minutes, consisting of questions related to General Knowledge and General Studies.
- Skill Test: Typing and shorthand examinations will carry 60 marks and are qualifying in nature.
- Negative Marking: 1/4 () mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer.
- Minimum Qualifying Marks: 45% for General & OBC category candidates; 35% for SC & ST category candidates.
