Commencement of online application and fee submission. One Time Registration (OTR) is mandatory before applying. The last date for application fee payment and form submission is 27/07/2026. Last date for correction/modification in submitted applications is 03/08/2026.

Candidates who clear the Preliminary exam will be eligible to appear for the written conventional main exam consisting of 8 compulsory papers.

Viva-voce stage carrying 100 marks for successful conventional main exam candidates to assess suitability for the administrative services.

Salary Details

  • Pay scale ranges from Rs. 9,300 - 34,800/- with Grade Pay Rs. 4,600/- up to Rs. 15,600 - 39,100/- with Grade Pay Rs. 5,400/- (as per the 6th Pay Commission).
  • For the post of Naib Tehsildar, the Grade Pay is Rs. 4,200/-.

Age Limit

  • General Candidates: 21 to 40 years as of July 01, 2026 (candidates must not be born earlier than 2nd July 1986 and not later than 1st July 2005).
  • Principal (Govt Intermediate College): 30 to 40 years as of July 01, 2026 (candidates must not be born earlier than 2nd July 1986 and not later than 1st July 1996).
  • Physically Handicapped (PH) of U.P.: Maximum age limit is 55 years (must not be born before 2nd July 1971).
  • Age Relaxation:
    • SC, ST, OBC, Skilled Players, and State Govt Employees of U.P.: 5 years relaxation.
    • Persons with Disabilities (PH) of U.P.: 15 years relaxation.
    • Emergency Commissioned/Short Service Commissioned Officers/Ex-Army Personnel of U.P.: 3 years + period of service rendered in the Army.

Qualification Criteria

  • General Requirement: A Bachelor's Degree from any recognized University or equivalent up to the last date for receipt of application.
  • Specific Educational Qualifications:
    • Sub Registrar / Assistant Prosecuting Officer (Transport): Law Graduate
    • District Basic Education Officer / Associate DIOS: Post Graduate Degree
    • District Audit Officer (Revenue Audit): Graduate in Commerce with Accountancy
    • Assistant Controller Legal Measurement (Grade-1 & Grade-2): Degree in Science with Physics or Mechanical Engineering as one of the subjects
    • Senior Lecturer DIET: Post Graduate Degree with B.Ed.
    • Labour Enforcement Officer: Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Sociology, or Commerce, or Post Graduate Diploma/Degree in Law, Labour Relations, Labour Welfare, Social Work, etc.

  • Unreserved / EWS / OBC: Rs. 125/- (Examination Fee: Rs. 100/- + On-line processing fee: Rs. 25/-)
  • Scheduled Castes / Scheduled Tribes of U.P.: Rs. 65/- (Examination Fee: Rs. 40/- + On-line processing fee: Rs. 25/-)
  • Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) of U.P.: Rs. 25/- (Examination Fee: NIL + On-line processing fee: Rs. 25/-)
  • Ex-Servicemen of U.P.: Rs. 65/- (Examination Fee: Rs. 40/- + On-line processing fee: Rs. 25/-)
  • Dependents of Freedom Fighters / Women / Skilled Players of U.P.: Fee according to their original category.

Selection Process

The selection is done through three successive stages:

  1. Preliminary Examination (Objective & Multiple Choice Type)
  2. Main Examination (Conventional Written Type)
  3. Personality Test / Interview (Viva-Voce)

Exam Scheme & Marking Pattern

  • Preliminary Exam: Consists of Paper-I (General Studies I) and Paper-II (General Studies II). Both are of 200 marks each with a duration of 2 hours.
  • Negative Marking: 1/3rd (0.33) marks will be deducted for every wrong answer in the Preliminary Exam.
  • Qualifying Paper: Paper-II of the Preliminary Exam is qualifying in nature with minimum qualifying marks fixed at 33%.
  • Minimum Efficiency Standards: Fixed at 35% for SC/ST candidates and 40% for candidates of other categories across Preliminary and Main examinations.
